Keep a loved one’s story, in their own words.

Family Story Sessions · Early-access waitlist
I’m developing a guided recording service to help families preserve the stories a parent, grandparent, or other loved one chooses to share.
Join the waitlist for updates on the package, price, and launch timing. There’s no payment or commitment to purchase now. Initial capacity will be limited, and I’ll contact people in signup order.
How it works
1. Receive the kit. A recording kit and conversation guide are sent to your home.
2. Record together. Use the guide to have a conversation at your own pace, in a familiar place.
3. Return the kit. Send it back with the provided return materials. You’ll receive an edited full-length video and matching audio recording.
Why I started Family Story Sessions
My parents taught me to value time spent caring for and talking with my grandparents. In high school, I administered my grandma Stacy’s insulin every day and spent time talking with her. Later, I spent time with my grandpa Jerry during his final months in the hospital.
During college, I developed media and interviewing skills and decided to record an interview with Jerry. He told me about his early life, what life was like in Germany after World War II, what he felt fortunate to experience, and the lessons he hoped our family would remember. I recorded him years before he passed away, and my family and I still return to that recording.
I never got the chance to record my grandma. I was too young to understand how quickly that opportunity could pass, and I didn’t yet have the skills or a simple process to help me do it.
That experience is why I’m building Family Story Sessions: to make it easier for families to record the stories of the people they love, in their own words, and keep them for generations to come.
